Occasionally, I get heartburn, but recently, I have started having a problem when eating food gets stuck. I do not choke, but it is somewhat painful and sometimes scary. When this happens, I have to sometimes either readjust my seating position, stand up or hit on my chest to get to food to go on down. After doing the aforementioned, I feel the sensation of the food going down. I do not have a cold, mucus problem and I am not a smoker. Please advise. I realize this is just an educated guess at best, not a diagnosis.
